Beautiful video, brings back memories from my era of aviation! The connie’s R-3350 compound round engines with PRT’s required experienced flight engineer’s. Without that expertise sitting side saddle, the engine life would be degraded quickly.
NO, it’s not on fire, the engine mixtures are set on Rich fuel mixture for take offs.
